Afsheen began her career as a visual artist but soon discovered a deep passion for history. She pursued and successfully obtained a master’s degree in General History from the University of Karachi. During this program, she specialized in colonial architecture and focused her research on the Colonial Clock towers of Karachi.

She has presented a research paper at the Emerging Trends in Arts and Humanities International Conference, organized by Punjab University. Beyond research, Afsheen also served as a visiting faculty member at a Indus university in Karachi, where she taught basic drawing and the History of Art and Culture.

Afsheen teaches Social Studies at the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad.
